Fire Prevention - Plan Review Status

Plan review comments update every hour. Please allow sufficient time for new comments to load prior to contacting a plan reviewer.
 


We are in the process of transitioning to a new plan review and inspection database. As a result, the plan review and plan log status reports will change and may not be available for a period of time. Please be patient with us during this transition as we work hard to improve our processes and communication to our customers.

NOTE - THE NOTED DISAPPROVED ITEMS MAY NOT CONSTITUTE A COMPLETE LIST OF VIOLATIONS. THE DESIGNER IS TO CONDUCT A COMPLETE RE-REVIEW OF THE PLANS FOR ADDITIONAL VIOLATIONS OF THE STANDARD COMMENTS AND INCORRECT INFORMATION PRIOR TO RESUBMITTING.

 System plans must be picked up within 30 days. All system plans left longer than 30 days will be discarded as abandoned.

FYI*****ADDITIONAL FEES: This is our ---2nd--, review of these plans. Any and all future plan submittals for this specific permit will have additional plan review fees charged to the project, as per the approved fee schedule.
FYIREVIEWS: Colorado Springs Fire Department plan reviews are based upon information provided on the drawings and/or the attached reference material. Issues or features that are not presented within the construction documents are assumed to be complaint with applicable codes/standards. It is the responsibility of the building owner to ensure that minimum code requirements are met as established by the Authority Having Jurisdiction, whether or not the requirements are specifically indicated on the submitted construction documents. The CSFD has reviewed the submittal in accordance with the adopted fire code requirements, CSFD local amendments, City Code Standards, and applicable NFPA Standards. All plan review comments are subject to final on-site field inspections, and testing by the CSFD. Review and approval by the CSFD shall not relieve the applicant of the responsibility of compliance with the International Fire Code. (105.4.4)"
Disapproved*****(STANDARD COMMENT) DISAPPROVED COMMENTS The following information and/or corrections are needed prior to completing a full plan review. Please respond, in writing on letterhead, to each of the following comments: 1. Your scope of work indicates work on elevators and their functions. This does not matcvh the scope of work provided on the construction plans to PPRBD. Correct your scope of work. 2. Correct the NFPA 72 and IBC editions. 3. Provide accurate scaled drawings. This was noted on last review. 4. Sitemap compass on front page should be removed. 5. Floor plans shall indicate what floor these devices are located on. 6. No elevators noted... 7. Why are we using heat detection instead of smoke detection if levators are involved? 8. Provide what type of elevator technology is being used. 9. A graphic scale to measure with is a requirement out of NFPA 72. Provide graphic scale. Also review the disapproved plans for additional written comments prior to submittal of new plans.
FYICORRECTIONS All corrections and comments are to be submitted back to CSFD in writing, or provide submittal sheets/drawings, etc as requested, to complete the review. Corrections are not accepted over the phone, via fax, email or verbally.

Drawings are not to listed scale. 4. Plans and cut sheets must be signed by the listed company RME. 5. Provide cut sheets for all material used. 4. Provide building section drawing for areas where work is being done. Also review the disapproved plans for additional written comments prior to submittal of new plans.
Disapproved(STANDARD COMMENT) SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS MATRIX Please provide the Sequence of Operation in matrix format. Narrative outline can be confusing to individuals conducting the acceptance test of a new system.
